Before clicking this video, I definitely expected to see you guys in one of those high-end luxury underwater hotels. I'm pleasantly surprised by how chill and lovely this hotel and their staff are. I especially love the origin story of the hotel. I would loveeee to see this turn into a series, I'm especially interested in all the quirky asian hotels that I always read about online lol.

Safiya and Tyler are always awesome, but honestly, I'd have loved to follow the photographers on this trip. The logistics of filming through the portholes, where they were staying, how often they came down to film - just how they were able to film everything we saw

As someone whose family visited Key Largo yearly growing up, this made my day! This vibe is really true for the whole island - nice people, good food and lots of weird fun places. I always wanted to go to the underwater hotel so I’m glad to see what it was actually like!

I'm very claustrophobic, so this kind of thing scares the heck out of me, but it also seems so fun. A lot of people here seem so chill, and the history is cool. I'm glad this place isn't just some giant resource eating place and seems to be just one room and it just, seems nice in that regard. I really love fish though and, although it's sad that you all didn't get to see many, its amazing just how close you get to be to them.

I think I've rewatched this video like, twelve times, no joke. It's got this real-real-good vibe that I can't describe. I think you can really tell Tyler and Safiya are having a total blast, while also being forced to slow down a bit and just enjoy themselves.

i like coming back to this video every now and then for the cozy and safe feeling i get from it. something about saf flipping through the little binder of DVDs, the plankton at the window at night, waking up to the yellow-green watery lighting, the room service delivered in a waterproof box. it's like a safe little bubble :)

If they keep up this series it would be a great dynamic of safiya and Tyler’s humor plus awkwardness of the situation. And if we get more “uncovering more of safiyas and Tyler’s relationship” that would be great. Overall this series would be very enjoyable

I’d definitely recommend getting scuba certified if anyone goes to Florida or Hawaii. If your unsure you can always do a discover scuba to test it out before going for your open water certification.

so i watched this video about six months ago and thought it was cool but i actually just went to the marine lab right next to next to it. they are owned by the same people and was such a cool experience and i am so grateful my school was able to take us there. we actually got to snorkel above the hotel.

The fact that Thane's dad was one of the original scientists to live in that was probably the coolest thing about this video. I can't imagine what it was like to watch his dad most likely be so passionate about something to then make him want to follow in his footsteps!! Seriously an amazing video as always, can't wait to see what we get next. :)

Definite yes to a whole series of odd hotels. If you make it back to Japan, there are so many crazy themed love hotels. There's even one with a slide in the room (watched it on a Tokyo Creative video).
When you shined the light out, you served up some plankton for dinner 😂

I wonder if they can setup a live streaming camera on the top of the hotel so you can watch the fish that are swimming right above you. I mean, they already have wifi so they could make it work; there's a manatee underwater Livestream so it can be done.

I love that rather than being super luxury basically wealth porn, this feels like an adventure in cool and interesting things that are kind of attainable. Complete with history and research into it. Deeefinitely would love to see this as a series!

By beginning with staying at the Fantasy Land Hotel Inside of West Edmonton Mall in Alberta. They have themed rooms there, plus you could do a 24hrs in one of North America’s largest malls. They also have a theme park, a skating rink, and a water park. Plus you might as well continue your journey and stay in BC at Sparkling Hill. They have one the worlds only cryogenic chambers that goes down to -200C/-328F. My husband and I did it once and it totally reset my hormones and stuff. Although it did take us 2 hours to warm up again. 😅 Sending love & safe travels from here in BC 🇨🇦💕.

This would be an AMAZING series! You guys should go to the hotel Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Finland. It is a glass igloo where you get to look at thr Northern Lights all night! If I had thr money and ability to take that much time off of work, I would totally take myself, partner, and daughters to stay here and to visit other really cool hotels around the world.

As a scuba diver the nice slow assent after really calmed my nerves and the no fly advice was good. I know 20ft (6.1m) doesn’t seem deep but we normally do our decompretion/safety stop at 6m so you could definitely have degassing issue if you stayed for longer and came up really fast. However there is a chamber in the Florida key so if you did somehow get the bends you would be close to a place that can help and the doctors there should be familiar with bend related problems.
