As an Icelander I’d say bathing and swimming and being in water is a very big part of our culture and social life I guess. The blue lagoon isn’t that big of a deal to most people in Iceland, we just know how to profit of tourists :)

This is such a coincidence! I'm writing a term paper on geothermal resources and how humans use them. I had to mention the blue lagoon in it. Fun fact about sulfur: it is proven to help treat skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis. I referenced a couple of medical journals for it.
Iceland sits on top of the Mid Atlantic ridge (a divergent plate boundary) which is what causes all of the geothermal activity. There's all this magma rising up from beneath the crust to create more. The magma reacts with the water and Chemical reactions happen. One of which is the precipitation of sulfur

I love the hot springs in Iceland. you're meant to shower off in the nude in a communal shower before you go in to protect the water and the locals just don't care about being naked at all. no weirdness, no body shaming, no insecurity, they're just chill. it's so nice.

What I like about Safiya's content is how informative her videos are, and at the same time, they're very fun and entertaining to watch.

My favorite thing about your channel is that rather than posting weekly, you post interesting adventures like the spa, underwater hotel, Colonial Williamsburg, the Vegas series, and so forth. Very, very cool!

Not that long ago, people could dig up the silica masks from the bottom of the Blue Lagoon, then they started offering them in buckets by the perimeters for free. Today it's significantly more fancy and everything costs extra!

After watching this I feel like I would just go to the Silica Lagoon and be happy since it wasn’t crowded at all and you still get a cool lagoon experience.

Chena is a Geothermal hot springs in the middle of Alaska, which are great to jump into right after a dog sled ride with some of the happiest pups on earth ❤ One early morning we caught the aurora coming down just before the sky started lightening

I went to Iceland in January 2019 and it is by far the most beautiful place ive ever been. Reykjavik is so unique, the Ring Road is so beautiful and of course Blue Lagoon was awesome!

This is just Safiya living her best life and taking us along for it 😄 Not gonna lie a lil jelly as despite working a tough job in a hospital (I won’t specify my exact job but I earn a reasonable salary despite being underpaid because lol NHS). I went to Iceland through a company with my dad before COVID and the blue lagoon is definitely one of my favorites! Very soothing indeed! The weirdest part cuz I wasnt used to it was the public bathroom 😬

Oh my god, my partner and I went to the Blue Lagoon this past October, and when we saw you and Tyler point out the ramp going straight into the warm lagoon water from the locker rooms we both let out an outraged, “WHAT?!?!” because the whole time we NEVER noticed it and instead just froze as we walked outside to enter the pool through the main entrance. 😭

I hope y’all get to enjoy yourselves outside of filming. What a wonderful experience.

A fun one for Germany would either be Europa Park, which is kinda like Disney Land (but better 👀) or, and this is a bit niche but my personal favourite, Karl’s Erdbeerhof/Karl’s Erlebnisdorf, which is a strawberry themed amusement park, and it’s so so funnnnnn

I remember going to the pre-touristy blue lagoon with my grandma, you had a much smaller house and way less fancy (basically not fancy at all) to change clothes in, lots of jagged rocks and the water temperature was very random depending on where you went, so a lot more natural than it is now, it was a lot of fun. :)

Fun fact: if you go to a waterfall in Iceland and there is a tiny river flowing you can actually drink the water cause Icelandic water is very clean( coming from a Icelandic girl). Also I don’t recommend getting your hair wet in the blue lagoon cause it can turn into a mess.

Glad you enjoyed it! Im an icelander! The stuff on the bottom in the Silica hotel lagoon used to be all over the main lagoon years ago. It is the same stuff as the complimentary silica mask and the main lagoon used to have like afew giant buckets here and there, way before the mask bar came to be

One of my favorite things about their online relationship is that they are not overly touchy with each other. You can tell they love each other and that they are best friends having a great time but they don't have to be touching all the time. It's very refreshing to see.
